Probably for conversion of old FX equiped lokos. Now you can buy a Marklin branded component instead of ESU's.

Have they done anything with automatic brake control? This is where M has been way behind.

The LokProgrammer will be nice for you M boys. Finally you will understand how valuable a tool LokProgrammer is. Will they now unlock the decoders supplied with the lokos so you can take advantage of the tool? It doesn't appear to support an external connection. Do you have to remove the decoder from the loko to change the program?

For me, Marklin's controller and decoder announcement is a day late and a dollar short. I committed fully to ESU a couple years ago. I couldn't wait any longer for a working system. But I do hope they finally figured it out and have something worth buying.

Edit: how about a conversion board that will work with sinus drive? That would be worth having.

Era 3
DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.
