Hello all,
Just wanted some assistance in updating my CS2. Software 1.4 o(1), HW4.33 Serial # 27283. I have attempted to update over the internet but get the notice that the update was NOT successful. I acquired this CS2 from Germany 2 yrs ago and have not been active in the hobby until recently. Try as I might I have been unsuccessful in achieving up date.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Confused
Sincerely,
Peter

Use an USB stick to install the update.
Try online updates again when your CS2 is at 3.x.x - if it still fails there will be a configuration problem.

Hint: if your CS2 shows pink dials after the USB update then simply start the update again - it must be started at least twice.
Wait at least 30 minutes before you assume the CS2 got hung during update.

Go to
http://maerklin.de/de/pr...ds/software_updates.html

Check "Ich habe die Lizenzvereinbarung gelesen und bin damit einverstanden" at the bottom of the page.

Read instructions under "4) USB-Stick Update für die CS2" with Google translate.
Regards
Tom

To get online updates, the CS2 must be connected to a router.
Potential problems and IP configuration have been discussed here:

Try it. There could be a problem with the IP configuration.

With DHCP there shouldn't be any problems (see the IP tab in the CS2 setup).

Peter,
Which IP address does your CS2 use? Can you see the CS2 in your Internet browser?
