Yes, I noticed in the LGB 2015 New Items leaflet that Marklin are trying to push the 60215 as the new controller of choice for LGB. They are even launching a starter pack with an LGB loco and the Central Station.

Personally, I think this is a mistake. As fond as I am of my 69215. I do not think it is in any way suitable for Garden Railway use, it is just not robust enough. Previously, LGB has used Massoth electronics for there MTS digital system and decoders.

I notice also that MFX decoders and sound decoders are being fitted to LGB locos this year.

Well, as always in this hobby; each to their own. I agree the cs2 is not of a 'robust' construction. I use a Massoth DiMax with radio navigator when the weather is good enough to be outside. However, when as today it is cold damp and miserable, I use the cs2 from the warmth of the triple glazed sun -room. I also use the cs2 at night when the ability via the layout diagrams to see how each of the 44 points are set, is a clear advantage on the Massoth.
