Hi
I have a question.
I have a CS 60215, the latest upgrate 3.82. Three decoders connected Marklin 74461 (set to 1,2,3) and now in the CS keybord 1 runs, 2 runs, and 3 does not work, if it were empty, 74461 No. 3 operates under the 4 cs keybord.
What could be the problem why this is happening?

Most likely a defective decoder. Or an incorrectly programmed decoder. Did you use the DIP switches? Maybe the last switch does not work correctly - flip the DIP switch a few times to and fro.

Connect a USB mouse to start calibration again.
With a "double click" of the stylus you can mess up the calibration process. This is a long known problem but M* didn't have time yet to add a delay or a plausibility check to the calibration process to prevent this.

Plug a mouse into the CS2 and use it instead of the stylus. This should solve your problem. I had the same thing happen to me.Crying

Hi and good day to all,

I'm trying to recalibrate my CS2 with a mouse because the touch screen stop working.

The problem is that when I get to the calibration screen ( the black screen with the cross hairs on my CS2) the mouse cursor is no longer there.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this so I can finish the calibration? Huh

Best regards
Carlos

Hi!

Screen calibration can only be done with the touch screen - touch the cross hairs with the stylus to finish the calibration.

The mouse is not influenced by the screen calibration.

Yes that would be fine but my touch screen is not working, that's why I'm trying to re-calibrate the thing.

Calibration is useful if the recognised position does not match the touched position.
Calibration does not help when the touch screen is dead.

You have to use the mouse to start the calibration if you messed up a previous calibration.
It won't help if the touch screen worked fine after the last calibration.

Cleaning may help - dirt or crumbs under the frame are one potential problem. Dead electronics or corroded connectors are another. Calibration won't fix those.

Indeed! Use a fine paintbrush and get the brush bristles under the frame surrounding the CS2's screen to remove any dirt specks or crumbs that are stuck and permanently pressing down on the touchscreen - I've had this happen so am speaking from experience.

Thanks I will try a good cleaning and see if that works. Would you recommend opening up the unit for farther cleaning?

That's a bit drastic, and should only be done if all else fails. I don't think you would need to do this. You would also void your warranty if you opened your CS2.

Ok so I got the CS2 over to the work bench and started cleaning, using a Fine Stroke long bristl brush. I worked my way around the edges an soon found the brush binding up on an object. This is it... A peace of track ballast had made its way down on to the screen.
So I fabed up a soft scrapper out of an old ID card and used it to get the nasty peace of ballast out.

Thank you all for the help and advice.

Best regards
