Actually there is a reason why it is called as Black sea..A theory applies to the Black Sea; the color “black” may refer to the direction “north” in Medieval Turkish, or the dark, sudden storms that would strike and cloud over the skies.. We even have an expression : Have your ships sunk in the Black Sea? Meaning ''A penny for your thoughts?'' When there is a storm in Black Sea the sky and the sea both get black....One sees this scene cannot stop oneself from staring at it for a long time....the longer you look, the deeper you go into thoughts... then you are warned as ''Why are staring at the sea like this?
