Hello,
Going to purchase a CS 60215 to replace my Intellibox. Currently have 2 uhlenbrock 63350 feedback modules connected to my IB via Loconet. Also have 5 Marklin 60880s connected to the IB using the flat cable. Would like to know if I could use a uhlenbrock 63880 adapter to connect to my Marklin 60880 S88 modules to in turn connect to the CS. The 63880 adapter is advertised to be used to make Marklin S88s work through LocoNet. Wonder if they would work the opposite way by connecting the 63350s to the adapter which I would connect to the Marklin S88 chain. Here is a link to the 63880 adapter for more information on its capabilities.
63880
Thank you for any advice.

I cannot see how this would be possible.

Aside from the fact that both the 63350 and 63880 would still need LocoNet power (from the IB) to work, that same power when propogated down the s88 bus side of the 63880 would conflict with that being provides from the CS2(60215)
And all this is on top of the 63880 logic being only one way in the first place and, with only one connector whould have to sit on the end of the chain.

Suggest getting a LocoNet to PC adapter (63120 or LocBuffer from RR-Circuits) and using a software bridge.

Thought I would use the 63880 as a connection between the Marklin S88s and the 63350s which would be at the end of the S88 chain. Thought the 63350s would get their power from the CS like the Marklin S88s do.

You are implying is that
a) the flat cable that provides power (from CS2 or IB) for the s88(60880s) can be simply plugged into the 63880 and the power will "go backwards" through the 63880 and out the LocoNet to the 63350
b) the signal that the 63350 puts on the LocoNet when one of its inputs triggers can i) be monitored by the 63880 and b) be "sent backwards" up the s88 (flat cable) chain.

Just because you can plug the cables in does not mean they will work

Thought the feedback module signal travelled from the track through the module to the control station when the circuit was opened or closed. I am using the 63350s the same way I am using the Marklin S88s, as feedback modules. With the IB, I could use the Loconet connection for the 63350s and the flat cable connection for the Marklin S88s. Guess you are saying using the 63880 as a bridge between the 63350s and the Marklin S88 chain will not work, so I must replace the 63350s with Marklin or equivalent S88s that use the flat cable.

I take issue with your wording - if not your meaning.
There is certainly no "flow" between the track side and the LocoNet side of the 63350

The use may be the same, if you consider 63880 and the S88 as a package. Both generate a feedback signal ONTO the LocoNet.
While the Loconet is full of peer2peer sniffers, the 63880 is not one of them - it is just one way

Yep

or

Make use of your existing IB/Loconet and look for a PC<>Loconet adapter along with some software.
Having a separate controller for LocoNet support is extremely desirable in my opinion

Yes?

The IB has two ports: One for 63350 feedback using loconet connection and one for Marklin 60880 flat cable connection.

My only "LocoNet" is the 63350 connection to the IB.

I want to retire my Intellibox and replace it with the 60215 Central Station. I would love to retain the use of my IB, but I understand Marklin 60215 and IB/loconet are not compatible.
Peter,
Thank you for taking the time to break this down for me.
