In 1935 Märklin started with the production line gauge 00.
The first electric loco built 1935 in gauge 00 is the RS 700.

This loco was produced 1935-1939 in different variations.
Version 1 (1935) has a high “house” , open windows and coupling system KK1

The next version (1937) has a smaller “house” and the windows are with a beam (baulk).

This loco is also known with coupling system KK 2.1 and KK 3
This pic illustrates KK 2.1 and KK 3

Thanks for sharing those great pictures, Wolf!

Do these locos represent a real prototype, or are they totally freelance?

Hi Ray / Hi Wolf,

It looks like a Wismarer railbus VT 89.9.

This is just a drawing but it is a real Swiss loco built in 1938 (a little late)

Hi Mike,

No, it does not run. The 381 is derailed. Blink
