Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that my 60215 CS2 is working perfectly. There are only two digital turnouts working at the moment, but I will register and program the other two soon.

My 60215 came with Version 1. something software. I understand that there is a 2.0 available. What new features does it add, and how can I get it via a USB?

Please tell me the whole step by step process on how I can do the software update.

Cheers!

Tadzio.

What should I do now?

Cheers!

I see two options:
  • Follow instructions closely
  • Or describe in detail what you did so anybody here has a chance to point out what went wrong

Is the USB flash memory formatted as FAT32?
The root directory should hold the latest version of the file cs2update.tgz only.

Search the forum, as there are plenty of previous threads dealing with this topic already. Did you read those, or did you just post without searching first? (Good internet practice is to search/read first, ask questions later)

As Tom says, it is easy. Download the files on the Marklin website, and copy them to a fat32 formatted usb stick, placing the files into the root directory of the usb stick. Plug the usb stick into the CS2's usb port.

Follow the onscreen menus on the CS2 to update your CS2.

If you still have trouble, take the CS2 to the dealer you brought it from and ask him/her to update it.
