Normally the brochure is available for pick up then, so hopefully a day or two before hand for the download.

As always waited for with great interest.

Nevertheless,i will need to spend my 2016 remaining budget on the good old 3302 BR53 in photocolors, part of the 2017 budget will go to the magnificant 39205 BR 01.5.
Also,i need to buy a cheap car for the wintermonths October to April when cycling gets too cold........

Happy hunting for all of you!

Cheers,
Paul

If Marklin make good on there past statement (at the time of the Summer NI), then Insiders, with a valid email address registered against their profile, will get notified at the same time it appears on the website.

Nothing spectacular I presume, perhaps some colorvariations to keep the crowds happy.
Perhaps NS intercity coaches with adjusted doormarkings to fit with the NS 189 loco?
Or an Olympic version of some sort, celebrating the games in Rio?

Give them a break, the service JUST started with the summer new items 2016. I got a link the day they went public. So at least it works for me.

I would suspect some items that appeared earlier in the year in the Trix NI but not in the Marklin NI. They have done that in the past, guess it helps them gauge the market for an item they are not certain about.

Were there locos for which no wagons have been announced, especially locos that could do with a coach set? I would look for the wagon set to be announced in the Herbst NI and produced in time for Christmas stockings.

I haven't seen any announcements yet of start sets that normally get produced for the Christmas period. Guess they are waiting for the CS3 to be available, but the beta one I saw a few weeks ago had a long way to go with the software. I was quite disappointed as I expected it to be more developed from the CS2 software.

As I am currently waiting for my new V188 diesel, on it's way to me from Lokshop as we speak, I am going to hazard a guess at a "Wartime" version of this loco appearing at some time.

Wouldn't that be great?

SmileThumpUp

The icing on the cake would be a set of "war flats" loaded with Panzers....

That I would buy, to go with my Lilliput Leopold gun set. Would save me converting the loco in the set.

Now how long may I have to wait for that Unsure Unsure Unsure Unsure Unsure

I don't know that they would do those. Roco seems to do them, but I don't know how well they sell. Marklin did the 4MOR series, and abandoned that as it was a slow seller I believe.

Hi,

There will be a second coach set for the BR 01.5. I remember reading that in a short interview with Mr Gräßle a few months ago.

Best regards,

I like Märklin items produced in the 1960s or early '70s, but also digital locos & current rolling stock.

That would be a great idea, but even better. One of these V188 with a Marklin Leapold Gun:-) can't see it happening myself thoe:-( . I can't get my head around Why they did not do the coach set with the NS 186 as NS1200 has sergested? May be new tooling is on the way for these coaches, perhaps with an NS1300. But I can dream:-)

Here is the proper usage:

the icing on the cake. › something that makes a good situation even better: I was just content to see my daughter in such a stable relationship but a grandchild, that really was the icing on the cake.

Definition of the cherry on the cake or on top in English: A desirable feature perceived as the finishing touch to something that is already very good: the car is faster than a Ferrari, but the cherry on the cake is the price.

The icing on the cake would be a scale model of the seige guns these lokos were built to pull and provide operating power. But they are stupid large and outside my era.

But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

I am sure the NS intercity coachset will come but it all takes time with Marklin.
The intercity coaches do not go well with an NS 1300,basically a loco from another era.
The NS 1300 however offers potential because it can be offered in the original french version, the NS blue version, and the NS yellow version.

When it comes to the period 40-45,why not use 6 axle heavy load cars from Marklin (DRG markings only!) and load them with the superb tanks from Artitec?
Just an idea.

I would be happy if they announced that they will DROP the CS3(60226) - and rename the CS3+(60216) just plain "Central Station 60216"

Given that the CS3 , as seen to date, is quite obviously only a mock-up/prototype still needing to be finalised, I reckon the product could still squeeze in ports for LocoNet and DisplayPort.

There are beta ones out and about to selected testers, I have had a play with one, but the software on it still had a long way to go.

So I believe the case and internal electronics is finalised - well apart from a problem with one hardware item where a vendor supplied an under-performing chip I heard.

Hi all,

There seems to be one thing to be concluded from the Fall New Items Cover picture in the Märklin AR app; after taking a screenshot and zooming in on it, there clearly is an S 2/6 with three driving wheels to be seen in the picture. In other words: S 3/6 instead of S 2/6. That leaves the question whether we are going to get a variant of the BR 18.5 (39030), or even a completely retooled BR 18.4! Most likely the first option, though. Could still be something else though, but I'm sure it is not an S 2/6....

I, for one, am almost holding my breath. :)

Cheers,
Sander

I just received an email from one of my Swiss dealers. I am pleased to report that among the Fall New Items there will be a 3 car set of Swiss Post 4 axled Wascosa Mail Cars. These cars went into service earlier this year and have replaced the older Z4 coaches (as made by Roco).

The 42648 set of Dutch intercity coaches is interesting in that in real life they are being replaced one by one with blue and yellow versions with big white arrows on the doors.
As such,Marklin are leaping one step behind.

You are entitled to follow your own taste but I think they are ugly ducklings,in particular in combination with the yellow/blue NS loco.
NS security must have allowed a fashionking to enter the organisation by mistake I reckon.

Have you seen the new set 42980?
These are DR coaches for the 39205 steamer, very nice!

Thanks to everyone for posting the news and links.

Got to say I am very disappointed by this offering, generally too many reissues of past items. I can think of better things to spend €uros 999 than another Orient Express set. Bored Bored Bored

So far I have bought nothing new from Marklin this year and I am not sure this will change anytime soon.
Don't look back, your not heading that way.

Glenn,

Remember this is about the socalled autumn news only, nothing to do with the Neurenberg Toy Fair early next year, where all the new releases will be shown.
The 42980 set is a surprise to me,these are the first DR 4 axle coaches issued by Marklin if i am not mistaken, they can be clearly recognised by the round roofs in combination with the straight roofends.
The NS loco just has a different operatingnumber from the previous issue, this may come handy because the real life trains are run with a locomotive at each end.
Nothing in it for me,need to keep my powder dry for the 39205 and 3302 on the wishlist.

My wallet was hoping that there was nothing of interest, but in the Trix new items are both the Lufthansa Set and the Vectron. My poor wallet! Smile

Still hoping for four strip D&RGW F7 A-B or A-B-B units :) I know, but it can't hurt to dream. Would love to see Marklin do a GP7 or GP9 tooling, but again...dreams.

Kind of digging the express freight baggage cars.

Yes, it would have been nice to have that loco separate so my OE coaches have a nice loco. Still, I guess a blue S2/6 will serve, when it arrives (hopefully before Nigels meeting). Not only that but this OE set is 'limited to only 1999 pieces' ... looks like it will come in a pretty box though ... Flapper Interestingly only the coaches are being issued in the Trix herbst offering, so I guess the loco will come later - or has it already been issued in that scheme by Trix?

But I also need a loco for my blue OE set ...

We didn't really need another Lufthansa set, did we?

I might go with the coal wagon and Fuchs Power shovel, to go with the other coal wagon sets I have.

Pondering the Train Stories baggage wagon, if only to try and have a complete set of the 'Train Stories' wagons, but do I 'need' the extra wagon set to go with it??? Made sense to get the set of coaches that went with the dance car, but ...

The Christmas loco has TWO tunes this year, three for next year ??? - oh and a different road number. Oh, but you can have a G1 Christmas Br038.10-40 ...

Might have to get a couple of the International Model railroading Day wagons, so I can show both sides at once ...
