Hi,

Bought a stunningly nice BR104 from Piko recently (#51206). Its from their classic line and very detailed. My first Piko!

There is one problem however. While stationary being on the track it makes a continuous low buzzing sound that makes a sound decoder redundant. It starts when the power is put on the track. When the train is running the buzzing seems to dissappear.

What to do? Compared to my other trains its really disturbing.

Is this a regular Uhlenbrock issue? Or should I change the settings? Could it have something to do with the frequency?

Loco has allrady been send back once (for other reasons) and the decoder has been replaced. Decoder has been checked so I dont think the decoder is broken.

Happy to hear from you.

Rinus

Hi Rinus, I have a few Piko locos but none of them make that buzzing sound. Do the lights have any effect on the buzzing? Is the buzzing coming from the decoder or the motor?

Try poking around with your finger to feel where the buzzing is coming from. It might present a solution if you can narrow it down more.
