With the 47319 received today, I got (see picture) some accesories. Maybe adhesion bands ?

Is it useful or not ?

Hm.. do they get installed across the load between the vertical posts on each end of the cars to hold down the load (keep it from falling off and shifting)?

All of my steak-side wagons came with bands like that, which you can use to secure the loads. When they seem appropriate I use them, when they don't I leave them in the bags.

Märklin seems to include them whether they are really needed or not. So just do what feels best to you!
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

I have three of those - and all three came without those bands.

The "what for?" question may now be answered, but the "how?" question is still open as I understand it.

OK, I have a few of this type of wagon (about 7 or 8) with various loads, but none of them have the rubber bands.

The rubber may be broke off if pull wide too tight over load on flat wagon.

So I decide to put rubber tyres for use as spare parts for locos.

The rubber tires are available in the set part number E656520 (That's for locomotives driving wheels such as BR01 3901x)
