Hello all, very new to forum and DCC trains.

Wanting to know if I have a spur line that ends in a shed etc, does that track have to be terminated with a type of terminator to keep circuit from showing open circuit? Was wondering if the MARKLIN H0 - 24977 - Track End with Bumper - C Track performs this task or termination is not needed, only ask as previous non dcc experience back in the 60's meant if track wasn't in a continuous loop ( circle) it stopped working . Shows how out of touch I have been

Cheers Shannon

Shannon,

No, they are cosmetic only.
They are not required for electrical continuity.

Also useful if you aren't paying proper attention Blink !
Cheers,

No termination needed. So long as the tracks are properly connected to each other the voltages will be on the respective tracks and/or center conductor. The rail end bumpers are there for cosmetic/reality emulation purposes only.
