Does anyone have information on how to connect the new L88 (60883) to the ECoS command station? It comes with a cable with pin connection which connects to ECosLinks on the back but no ribbon cable comes with L88 and so it is not recognized on the command station. The old S88's apparently work, but somehow this seems to be a problem.
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks!

I don't think it can be connected succesfully.

See page 14 of the manual:
Quote:
Using the Product as Intended
• The L88 feedback module is designed for connection
to the L88 (60883) and the 60213/60214/60215 Central
Stations (CS2) with Software Version 3.8.xx and higher
For historical reasons, CS1/ECoS and CS2 use the same plugs for the CAN bus - but most devices will work either with the ECoS or the CS2, but usually not with both.

Don't try to connect "Bus 3" of the L88 Link to the S88 socket of the ECoS. This could set some blue smoke free.

Tom

AFAIK, the electrical "layouts" between the ECOS and the CS2 buses are the same, therefore I don't think it may be smoke. The problem is, the current ESU sw version doesn't know what a L88 is, and I highly doubt ESU is willing to "teach" it...

They are the same - and that's the problem.
It won't do any good to connect the s88 Input of the L88 with the s88 Input of the ECoS.

Hi all,

I have also tried to connect the 60883 s88 Link to an Ecos , but so far I have not been successful in this.
I would be grateful if somebody does find a way to share the solution on this forum. Many thanks.

The old Marklin s88 6088 connects easily to the Ecos.

ESU hasn't included L88 support to the ECOS software yet.

The S88 LINK or L88 is for the Märklin Digital feedback system. There is no real need for ESU to ever include support for the S88 LINK. So forget about it, if you have an ECoS.

ESU has their own feedback system and people having an ECoS should use the ESU products or compatible (if any exists). Personally, if I had an ECoS, I would look no further than ESU's own products. They are usually really good and well documented.
