Hello,
there are currently three solutions available to control the lokomotives, tracks and signals with an WiFi (wireless LAN) device. One is the freeware RemoteCS2 (PRO-version available for 6,99€) and the Märklin MobileStation (6,99€) and Märklin MainStation (10,99€).

For owners of the MS2, there is a solution existing to connect the MS2 track box to a CAN-Interface. All three apps also work with this solution (https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t36089-Computer-interface-for-Marklin-Track-Box-and-mfx-programming).

I tested the Märklin MobileStation and the RemoteCS2 together with the MS2 and CAN interface from Gerhard Bertelsmann. Here my oppinions and screen shots of both apps:

In direct comparison with the Märklin MobileStation, there are two big advantages of RemoteCS2:

- Speed and direction control by volume buttons
It is very helpfullto be able to control the speed with the volume buttons. It isn't necessary to look onto the display. Furthermore, there is an feedback from the vibrator, when You reach notch 0 (FS0). And when You try to lower the speed below notch 0, the durection is switched and You get feedback from the vibrator.

- The function display buttons are much more sensitive then those of the MobileStation!

My personal favourite is the RemoteCS2, not only because it is free but also because of the better response and the volume button control.

Hi
I was really interested in trying these options.
Could you tell a complete layman what he needs, the estimated cost of the items and how to put it together.
I already have two mobile stations and wifi at home.

Many thanks
Harry
