Hi Märklineers,

This DB 220 locomotive caught my eye recently - it looks lovely "in the flesh"

But, I suspect it is a "fantasy locomotive" since I can find no evidence that the 220 was ever in the red/beige livery.

I would be grateful of advice from anyone who can inform me.

Hi PJ,

Yes, that loco (which I think is a Piko 59713) is pure fantasy. No V200 was ever painted in Rheingold livery. On the other hand, BR warship class D281 'Greyhound' was painted to look like V200 021 during the 90s.
