Hello modellers and collectors.
I have received my locos from E-bay, only to discover, I think, they maybe 3-rail locos.
I know they have DCC and sound on board.
The Numbers are 189-027-6, and 189-001-1. I think both are from presentation sets from 2011 & 10.
There are etched numbers on the sides as well, being 207/555 and 318/555.

Any & all information will be gratefully received
TIA

ps, forgive me if this is posted in the wrong group

Hi Tiny,

Did they come without their boxes? The box would give you a catalogue number which would be useful.

Do you know if they are Marklin? If so they would almost certainly be 3 rail. If they have sliders underneath the bogies that is also a good indication!

Perhaps you can post photos of the locos or maybe share with us the ebay listing so that we can advise you better?

Edit:-

This was a reply to a question about Br189 locos that Tiny had bought.

How did this post appear in this thread?

This site has a pretty comprehensive list of BR 189 models:
http://gamos81.altervist...riche/Siemens/ES64F4.htm
Unfortunately they do not include Maerklin models.

This one does have info on the Maerklin models:
http://www.modellbau-wiki.de/wiki/Siemens_ES64F4

In order to better identify your models, can you provide the links for the ebay auctions?

The 189 027-6 should be a 39890
189 001-1 may be 39899 http://files.3rail.nl/marionknul/p1040759.jpg
I found this photo (model # unknown) , but I can't tell if the loco may also be 189 027 http://files.3rail.nl/marionknul/p1040761.jpg

I think 189 027-6 is the Finanzpräsentation loco for 2010. This is not catalogued by Märklin, and is not in Koll's catalogue, but I have assigned it a pseudo-Koll's number of 39897.2010701 for my own reference purposes. It is one of an edition of 555.

Similarly, 189 001-1 is the 2011 Finanzpräsentation loco, and I have given it a number of 39899.2011701, as it is also not in Koll's. Also an edition of 555. This loco came in a set with two Rollende Landstrasse wagons loaded with buses.

Hello Guys
Thanks for the replies,
I have since discovered, both Locos are 3-rail and DCC with mfc sound.
I am going to get them tested on a friends layout very soon.

I also have 2 off "RolandStrasse" cars with Busses and 2 off Container cars with 4x 20ft DB Containers,
can anyone suggest where I could get new wheelsets for DCC 2-rail running, TIA?

I will post more details as & when.
Thanks again for the replies

Tiny( Lindsay)
