Hi Vijay,

I don't have this loco but I have the earlier 3782 in DB red as Br221. I replaced the original 6090 decoder with a 60902.

It is a heavy loco and pulls very well. It has the standard DCM motor which needs the occasional drop of oil on the motor bearings to keep it running smoothly and quietly at low speeds.

Mine looks like this:

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways
Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

I also have a 3782 and it is great for pulling long freight up my steep 3.5 % grades. I have recently purchased a similar engine on EBAY with sound, this engine has the number 221104.3 . Does anyone know what the Marklin model number is ? I can not find it in my ( 1995 ) copy of Koll's.

Hi Tex,

221 104-3 is from the starter sets 29811 (220V) or 29812 (120V). These sets were produced in 2004 so tey would not be in your 1995 Koll's.

I find Helmut Kern's site a much better reference than Koll's, and it's free! Check it out here:
