Hello

I am just asking how do you join them since the newest strip doesn't appear to allow you to insert the plugs or sockets ( New ) into the flat end of it

Which Marklin productcode are you referring to?

Hi,
The latest distributor (connector plate) that I have, catalogue #72090, definitely have a female socket for new connectors at one end only. .
I seem to remember that earlier ones had an end that suited the old plugs.

I thought I was going cross-eyed there for a minute! Topics have been merged.

The 72090 that I have do not join together. Older 7209 did.

The picture from the website confirms this both in picture and text. https://www.maerklin.de/...s/details/article/72090/

You can however create a cable using the Märklin plugs and connect several 72090 that way. Something like this: http://www.guidetozscale...assets/images/720901.jpg

Just confirming that the 72090 do not join (other than with a wire) and only the new style male plugs fit these.

According to the product database, 11 new style plugs and 1 old style plugs (all male) should fit.

Maybe you can plug a 7209 into a 72090.

Tom

I confirm that the old style plugs can fit one end of the 72090
