I have noticed that on the right side of my MS2, the top icon looks like a turtle. Confused

I have not been able to figure out why it is there.

Does anyone know?

Thank you.

Its the symbol for shunting/switching (Low speed switching range)
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Did you say "low speed"? Scared Woot Wink

Thank you, Shamu.

Why do you need a special icon or adjustment for low speed? Can you not just lower the speed normally to the speed you want?

The shunting speed function gives you better control at low speeds by spreading out the speed range on your throttle. It makes for more realistic shunting.

The turtle icon can also represent the acceleration/braking delay. Press it to eliminate the delay when speeding up or slowing down.

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

The instructions that come with every loco will tell you what it does. It can have several meanings.
The CS2 has (at least) three different symbols that all map to the turtle symbol on the MS2.
