Hi, have had this BR 85 for a while but in the beginning had a sound decoder and a function decoder.
my goal is to install:
1 Smoke unit = Aux 1
2 Telex coupling = Aux 2 and 3
1 Gearlight = Aux 4
1 Cab light = Aux 5
A firebox light = Aux 6

and to do this I bought an ESU adapterplate 51970, not cheap and other decoders from different manufacturers have 6 to 10 Aux functions inbuild within the decoder.

so another loco on the workbench soon.

Joe, just noticed, the latest lokprogrammer, unless I've missed it before, has now all aux functions with a pulse timer for the coupler (Telex). great news.

That does sound good - I have an "old" Marklin decoder in my 85, where both front and rear Telex operates simultaneously.....I must say I am SO chuffed with the ESU decoder fitted to my V200, the sounds are SO realistic!Love

here are some pictures for modelers who are interested in digital conversions and are willing to go one or two steps further, this loco has 10 traction tyres.
