It's still down as of a few minutes ago (10:20am Tuesday), I grabbed all the ones I could from that site back in 2013. I have to say I really like some of the Primex catalogues, they have heaps that is not in the normal catalogue, particularly kits and scenery which are probably rebanded items but I can easily see why a collector would desire targeting this range. Ironic that for an intended 'budget' range, some of the items are now extremely rare, particularly with OVP and command good prices.

But I found that the quality of quite a few of the scans was disappointing, low resolution and quite a few of them cropped in odd ways, particularly up to 1983 but after this they are much better. (perhaps I'm just fussy?)

Of course anything is better than nothing and it's also possible they've been rescanned and much better?. I have the following...

YEAR & FILESIZE (kb)

1976 1115
1977 2696
1978 3036
1979 2933
1980 2146
1981 3133
1982 3571
1983 4882
1984 8123
1985 7558 (v1)
1985 8253 (v2)
1986 5274 (v1)
1986 13414 (v2)
1987 8322
1989 10123
1990/91 9340 (this is a scan of my own one)

Hope this helps.

Easier said than done. Total size of all files is 120mb and they are already compressed, so Zip will not compress any further. Maximum file size on the forum is just under 20mb.

I have all the files here, so I can upload them.......

I'm amazed by how many of the locos and wagons in these catalogues I have already in my collection!

There are still a couple of items on my wish list though! BigGrin

Thanks very much David for posting the downloads. ThumpUp

It's interesting to note that in the earlier Primex cars, some of the extra details are left off, like the railings on the tank wagons. Later it appears that with the exception of the decoration of the car, the item is exactly the same as the Marklin item.

I also think it's worth noting that even the button controllers are a different color from the Marklin items. It looks like the only things that didn't change was the wire & plugs. Laugh
