Hi

I am using two M83s to work my uncouplers (16 of them (its in my shunting yard))
I have set up the first in my CS2 with the dip switches set to 1, so the first 4 complet positions control the first 8 uncouplers, 2 per position. When I set the dip switches of the second M83 to 5, the next position for uncouplers 9 to 16. This does not work. I reversed the M83s and thats ok for 1 to 8, so I know the M83s work. Is my address of 5 for the dip switch incorrect if so what should it be ?

Can I plug the M83s together and use just one dip switch setting for both ?

Tim

I may be stupid here, since I don't have an M83 - but have you tried to set the DIP switches to "2" on the second unit?

Some times you have to wiggle the DIP-switches a bit. I usually set all of them into position, even though they seem like they are in position, they can be slightly out of placement.

I use wooden tooth picks or cocktail sticks to push the dip switches. They are sharp and don't damage the dip switches.

Dip switches of the m83 are very small,so this way of work toy was smart!
