Uhlenbrock's new items brochure announces an "mfu-Modul" that allows the Intellibox II to register mfx locomotives automatically with full name and all functions and also allows them to be controlled with 126 speed steps. Announced to be available in 2016.

Maybe interesting if the old MM decoder locos don't flick the lights and mfx also works.

Q.
Information needed on how this is to operate concurrently with RailCom.
At the very least the IB-II will have to be configured to be aware of the MFU in order to poll for registration.
Is the registration "On the main" or via a programing track?

Q.
Does this presume the ability for the IB-II to send mFX?
or does it just detect (via the MFU) and use DCC ? What decoder generations are supported?

The mfu connects to the IB via LocoNet

On the main track, I would guess.

Otherwise the locos would not register.

They do not mention specific decoders. Since not all mfx decoders support DCC, the 126 speed steps have to be mfx speed steps.
