From Gizmodo (so possibly questionable):

The US and China Just Made a Deal To Build High-Speed Rail Between LA and Vegas

What do people here think?

I expect a large number of Las Vegas visitors (especially international) arrive at LAX, then drive up to Las Vegas.
Having done the drive several time, and flown once, I would most definately use a train, if it meets the 80 minute time.
Cheers,
Damon

Thanks Damon.
The Chinese have developed and improved their railway technology in spectacular fashion of late.
