Hi

I've just tested my 37548 received last week. A couple of issues you might be able to help with:

1. Decoder

When decelerating, I lose sound in for a time until the loco is back on a constant speed.

2. Light issue

I tried to insert a smoke generator which I just couldn't get working and have since removed. I noticed though that the generator meant that I lost the front light on the boiler. Solved by pushing the connector up but should it be the case that I lose that light when the generator is inserted?

Thanks

Cameron

It's a feature, not a bug: while braking, the train driver will cut the steam off.
ESU does it like that, Märklin does it like that - but Märklin decoders are a bit sensitive when it comes to switching the sound off.

Tom

With my Trix bayern, the sounds doesn´t shuts off the sound, when i reduce the speed to stop.
It repeat sometimes.
It´s not feature,but bug!
Even when i did click switch off the sound,it still keeps on with the sound.
So sound decoder are default by of the bug.
I did had problems with the BR64 No. 39644,so did return locomotive back to the Märklin factory.
Märklin did send an new locomotive to me,while the old still left at the factory.

The Trix Bayern is not the M 37548, so comparisons might not be relevant.

But to control the sounds it does.
Trix locomotive do act same way by stop the chuffing sound, when i decline fast step down the speed.
With slow speed down, the sounds reduce slow down by following the speed limit.
However do my locomotive react strange with the chuffing sound,it still remains on when locomotive stand still!

I did check after the locomotives manual on page 32.
It shows the chart of the details.
I can´t see the light guide to the top of the upper headlight.
It show zero.
I pressume no lighting of the upper headlight?

I forgot to write about my BR64.
When i reduce speed fast down, the chuffing sound slow down according to the speed limit reducing.
So i´m not really sure if this is feature.

Sorry
I missed the upper headlight guide belongs to the body.
So there is the light guide and shall work too, even if you did install the smoke generator too.
Just follow the manual of loco and install smoke generator as the diagram show.
