An small station name "Åstorp" location in Skåne has start renovate.
All old catenary terminates and replacement with the new.
Also platform and the tracks disappear and there will been new tracks.
This to get better traffic with higher speed for the passenger and goods trains.
I post pictures with the intervall and next time i photo will be ahead at monday after the work.

Hi Goofy,

Do you have any historical information (references) about the the station.
My ancestors came from the area 140 yrs ago (Bjuv/Vram actually) - I don't suppose the railway existed then -

Google earth currently indicates lines in 5 different directions.
Do either of your pictures show the line in the direction of Bjuv? or Norra Vram?

It would be an interesting hub to model.

Swedish language Wikipedia has two maps of the rail network in Skåne.

Today's network:

Dagens jvg-nät Skåne

The network in the 1930-ies:

All major trains headed north & South go through Lund in this area of Sweden...

However - it seems like the SBB Croc will be going on the "Lommabanan" - the smaller track to the left of Lund, while it makes it's journey here in September this year...

The 1930's map shows how it was almost into the 60's here, before the big railway economic rationalisations began in the 60's-70's.
I think that the railway network was at its peak around 1910-1920 or so before some lines were cancelled. Have seen some map....

Åstorp is in the middle of "nowhere" even if it is a central point of the train commuting in the area, it's a kind of place you just drive by on the highways....

It will take at least 6 months.
They said ready about oct/nov.
Under the weekend all trains are not in traffic between Bjuv to Perstorp,so to get to the stations between you have to take compensation bus.
Between 15 june to 9 august we have to take buses. All trains are not in the traffic.
I post more pictures tomorrow after the work.

Thanks for the photo's ThumpUp
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Hej Anders,

I would love to have one of the old signals for my back yard here in Massachusetts!

Maybe my aunt in Höganäs can store it for me in her kitchen until I get back to Sweden!

Catenary, tracks and turnouts is getting on the places.
It´s really fun to see action so close to the station, when they works and put the tracks on the ground.
