WOW!ThumpUp ThumpUp OhMyGod Love Love

We in Canada can have a lot of snow every year and have some pretty mean machines to deal with this.

However. This is got to be the BEST snow removal video I have ever seen to date. Capturing it in the sunshine with such beautiful surrounding is what makes it so impressive!!!!ThumpUp ThumpUp Cool

Interesting to see that they are only using the pilot of the front locomotive to clear the snow, rather than a proper plough. I would imagine they could hit problems if they hit a really deep patch. However it is a spectacular video.

That's probably why they are using two of the most powerful locos available, running light engine. Plenty of horsepower to dig through any pile of snow they come across.

Thanks for the very nice video, Lasse!

I am very happy that the snow will not come for many months.
Now the summer starts.

In Australia, the snow falls around the Great Dividing Range in New South Wales, Canberra and Victoria. Not a dumb question as the 'mountains' do not reach the height of some of our neighbours and Australia is better known for it's dry and flat terrain. In particular, the best known region is the 'Snowy Mountains' which was the subject of one Australia's most famous poems - 'The Man from Snowy River'by A. B. (Banjo) Paterson'.

Token.

Furthermore, there are a number of commercial ski-fields (more than a dozen?).
In a good season, there is lots of snow -- 1 to 2 metres usually, which is plenty for skiing.
Cheers,
Damon

Hi all
Thats a great video and on utube you can also see
the dumpers clearing the main street of authurs Pass
yep it was a good 8 hour dump and we got a good dump
on the shop roof and the next day the sun came out and the
snow started sliding off the roof with nice curve pattern
from roof right above the back retail door of shop below
and at 3.30pm the whole side dropped leaving a gret pile
of snow
here's a picture

enjoy
