Okay, I know I've raved on about buying a CS2 or ECOS, but the wise parents have decided that for a 15/16 year old that they're a little bit on the expensive side, and a car might be a little more worthwhile....Crying
Anyway, so does anyone have alternatives that are cheaper, becasue I have reached the 10 limit on the MS1. I know I could delete them and re-add them, but that takes a bit of time.... so any ideas? Confused
Thanks for your help, and sorry for all the speculation about the ECOS before! Blushing

Hi,

Have you considered the ESU Navigator 50300, as it can store 40 locomotives.

Hi!

MS2 can handle 40 locos with current software. Upgrades can come from CS2 or current MS2. If you know nobody who can upgrade it for you, make sure you buy one with the latest version 1.81.

It can? So not just the ten (or eleven?) And is that with one or two?

MS2 can store 40 locos (with one MS2 only). You may even get 51 with 2 MS2s.

It's a two-level approach: 10+1 active locos using 10+1 loco slots on the bottom of the screen. 40 registered and configured locos in the loco list. You can select a new loco from that list for any slot.

IIRC 40 locos are supported since version 1.64.

Hi,

if you use locomotive cards with the MS2 then you can store an ‚endless’ number of locos. (...As many as you have cards. Wink )

You don’t need to buy the expensive ones from Märklin, there are surely cheaper ones available if you buy them from a local distributor. (If you were in Germany you could buy them here but this dealer is not recommandable for you, because he adds shipping to Australia: 47.60 €. I only linked the site that you can find out about the tecnical details that will help you looking for the item in your home country.)
kind regards,
Rhapsody
