I have a C-sine Crocodile where the motor casing has separated from the end cap used to mount the motor. Consequently, the locomotive will not run. Normally I would fix something like this myself, but one mounting screw is buried behind a few gears. Do I just send this along with a letter to the service department in Gopingen? Is a return authorization number required or do I just send it unannounced? Thanks,

Matt

If the model was bought in the USA, you can contact Walthers for service. If it has been more than two years and the warranty is expired, you can try Scott at Helmut's Hobbies in VA who may be able to repair the lok for you. If you want to send it back to Maerklin, it is probably a good idea to email service(at)maerklin.de beforehand. They will tell you how to proceed.
