Trains around the Dinning area! That's a nice touch, Goofy. You can play trains while eating your cornflakes! P.S. I hope you've got some rubber caps on those steel legs, I'd hate to see that lovely varnished wood floor get scratched.

I did start to put on cork underlay for the tracks. As you can see i start like this to creating landscape by working up to the station area. I guess it works better way since i can focus and decides by taking an step at a time. Goofy attached the following image(s): |

Keep posting your progress I shall use an Lenz electronic reverse loop automatic circuit. For turnouts i use Tortoise motor by connecting with DC power at 12VDC. Because Tortoise motor has 12VDC power. Of course i can use too with turnouts decoder like Lenz LS150 or Marklins k84. |

Today i did painted on all ties with neutral grey colour. The reason is to make ties more realistic dirty from after prototyp so much as possible. This is the first step. Goofy attached the following image(s): |

Hi Goffy,
That is very neat work overall, and will certainly be a good foundation for displaying your model vintage trains.
The grey timber is quite correct. In our country, it tends toward a darker colour, but that depends on the species of timber. I really like it.

Anders,
I've just found your topic and wow what a start and your progress in such a short time is applausable. One concern I've spotted is the plastic holder (if it is plastic) for your electrical wires. In case of a short this could melt and eventually catch fire ? just a precaution matter.
regards.,

John Hello John! Maximum load at digital system MS2 is only about 1,9 Amp/ 36 watt. So i think plaster holder is enough...i suppose. |

Dear trainfriends! I did decides to put "dirty" looking back again on the rails. I did found out that dirty looks much more realism when there is traffic on the track. So rust is vanished! Sorry about missunderstanding from my side. It was just to much rust on the rail. But in station area where there is stabling tracks i guess there is some rust. |
