Thanks. I think you can get away with it anyway, early DB liveries look at lot like DRG because of the lack of DB "cookie" :)

Another very nice set, Ian. You can put both sets of coaches together and have a double header of Br 75s. |

Jeez your a bit rough with that packaging Alex and even a worse Photogragher than I am. So what have you actually got here then ??? Yep, that's a perfect exposure of the rose bush outside Alex, but unfortunately we want to see the trains. Rule #1, never try to photograph an object siting in front of a window. The camera will adjust for the brightest light source it sees, which is the window, thus making every thing else dark!
Glen, I do believe Alex is trying to show us his Br39! /BDNZEdited by user 10 March 2012 11:06:50(UTC)

Here are some more pictures on request. If you´re really interested I could propably set up some tracks with my Hulett unloaders. :p Then you´ll see the new colour scheme on them. There´s a youtube video from a user... which I´ve also shared on my facebook. Triple Big BoysAnd another video I´ve found: Märklin 37994According to this video there´s a new motor in the loc; a DCC motor. This I must investigate! WTF!! No cover for the screw?? Am I supposed to use the "spare"? I really like the looks of the new version. I´ve noted other new things than the smoke deflectors. The wooden box have a milled radii on the edges and you don´t hurt your hands on the wooden box anymore. |

Hi all! Yesterday I received a parcel from ETS (placed my order on March 1), today I was able to test the locos and take some pictures (no problems yet). I like blue locos, and here are the new additions: This loco (HAG) is blue for me: A darker shade of blue (Roco): This loco (HAG) also qualifies as "blue" (with some green, red, and yellow): The Roco model is my first Re 460 with red rear lights: The HAG model is analogue, the Roco model came with an Uhlenbrock decoder ( ) but otherwise it's OK. P.S.: it's only one HAG model, but both sides are different. |

Hi David, Thanks for posting the Big Boy pics, don't know why they'd change the motor as the Faulhaber was a good and smooth one, and goes well with DC. What do you think of it compared to your other ones ? Edit; PS; She/He Looks great btw very nice and strong looking and I don't think suffers at all for having the ears Loking fwd to getting my one Here's another video of one in action, with & without sounds; http://www.youtube.com/w...S4yw&feature=relatedEdited by user 12 March 2012 02:58:50(UTC)

Thank you very much Ian.They are great models. My Alco 37613 Southern Pacific pulled on 5% grade with low and high speed 43 american cars very easily untill the couplers uncoupled of the cars because of the weight.I think loco can pull much more.

Hello All: I just thought I would add my latest additions to this prestigious list... And....... Both of these beauties are par excel lance... However the rod angement on the BR 39 threw me for a loop until I was informed that many times the Germans added extra rods to enable additional pumps, etc. Each of these units have the newer sound decoders and sound great... although... I may have to replace all of my older decoders to match the sounds of these units |

LOL. I´m gonna do a much better video with better lighting. I call it a He, but you never know. I haven´t looked under his/her skirt. But I notice something that hangs that looks like a pick-up shoe. I haven´t checked the settings yet but I think it´s running just a little bit better. The motor hums very much when going reverse, but hums just on the lower speed settings in the forward direction. That´s why I had a section without the sound functions. I can´t say if the motor is stronger compared to the older ones but I think the motor is equally strong. I can´t see any differencies in the tender even though Märklin states there are some changes. I really like the ears. It gives the engine a totally different character. From certain angles it looks completely black in low lighting. I give this train a 9.5/10. The only minus I have is the sound for the rail joints which is better than previous versions (static), but when comparing with the earlier 26490 (Wabash) and the 37629 (F7 UP) that sound is totally obselete. A big plus for the new operating sounds and now there´s a generator sound for just the lights. I got shocked by the first "Puff" when starting the engine. I also noted on my old receipts that this version cost about 50 Euros less than the original 37990 and also the 37991! |
