Looks great, Ian! Mine is also much younger, from a starter set bought about 10 years ago. Unfortunately mine doesn't have Telex, so I use it more as a freight train engine rather than as a shunter. Great little puller though! |

Ian, On your smaller older layout I see a very lovely old station. (...yellow walls, grey roof...). Is that Faller "Bahnof Steinbach" (item B-106) ?? That is a (very) early Faller station !! It is on page 4 in the Faller catalogue 1959. Only with different colors. I like it a lot. kweekalot attached the following image(s): |

PS: I also see the backside of Station Steinbach on page 32 in the first issue of Faller Magazin (October 1957). kweekalot attached the following image(s): |

Hi Marco, Yes, that's the station, like you say, it's got yellow walls and a grey roof. The walls are made from wood, the base and roof are plastic. I've had the station since 1959, when I was 7. Ian.

So your station is more than 50 years old. Faller buildings that are that old, often have broken and missing parts. But in the videos your station Steinbach seems to be in perfect condition. |

Hi Marco, As with most things of 50+ years old , I wouldn't say it's in perfect condition. Ian.

Yeah, she's shown her age, Ian. But it's still a great old station. Nice photos. Peter

Ian, Thanks for the additional photo's !! It is indeed a lovely station. All the early Faller stations are very nice with that typical early Faller charm, that I don't see at all in the newer Faller stations and buildings. Even the names of the early stations... Zindelstein (B92), Blumenau (B95), Schonblick, Neukirch, Bergheim, Neustadt, Schauinsland, Cortina, Fluelen.... Love those. |

That's a lovely Belgium loco ! It looks brand new.
There is a modelrailroad shop in my hometown that claims they have at least 300 Marklin loco's in stock. But it looks like they have some competition....

Hi Marco, Thanks. I bought her, from my good friend and forum member Alan (aos), he bought her new in 1982. Like you say, she's in lovely condition. Ian. Here you can see her running at our last club meeting back in May.
