Eurowest 2011 coming up fast at the Hiller Aviation Museum. This will be my first time there. Anyone else going? I'll be there with the ETE SoCal group. |

Hi Phil,
Of Course with all my SBB/BLS & BT trains. Plus I'll have also have my BEMO MOB "Crystal Panarama Express" running on the SF chapter's HOm layout. Chris from Northern California should also be there.

Hi Phil. I will be there also. If this is your first time you will really enjoy it. Nothing like a whole place full of European trains. The people are great and it is really just a fun event. This will be my 5th time going. I will be there first thing Saturday Morning at the opening.
And Robert I will be there. Are you still coming up to Windsor after the show?
Chris

Some pictures from Eurowest: The 1st piece of plexiglass being installed. Almost done! Time to touch up the modules. Socal ETE module display at the top of picture. The San Francisco ETE module. Vendor area. A great set up with Marklin trains from the 30's. Other part of 30's layout. Edited by user 28 July 2011 04:21:14(UTC)

Hi,
When you make the section tables, is there a hieght to be used? or end placement of the track? a standard? I am thinking of bulding something like this. Or is it just whatever you wan to do? There is no club, near me. I only know one other Marklin person in my immediate area.
Matt

It has taken him about 5+ years to build the collection. Then several of the members built the platform to fit the track. There was no flex track back then, LOL.... Andreas was saying that he has been looking for signals for the layout, but at over 200 USD each, has made him think about those. Several of us at EuroWest took up a collection to assist in the purchase of those signels, maybe next year we'll see them. I guess I need Andreas to join this form and discribe his collection. Robert So Cal Chapter I have 2 modules |

Between hitting the trading tables and attending the info session on the new decoders and I phone/pod/pad app for remote control, I shot some video as well... but mostly of Andreas' layout: it was quite a popular attraction, especially among us tinplaters. I always look forward to this show because I can usually find some hard to find items that somehow slipped away from me over the years. Can't wait 'til next year.

It was a great show as always. I was able to pick up some Marklin Wagons, a few vehicles and some european tunnel portals. All in all a great trip.
Chris
P.S. I also enjoyed the layouts

Glen,
Please come back for 2012 EuroWest. I'll be operating the Marklin-Users anniversary car on our layout. Then we can talk...

Rob Hi Rob, Would love to come back this year again but, house reno's and planned trip to Germany, France and Switzerland in '13 would most likely prevent a return this year |
